![]() Normally, when you activate basic VR on a flat Unreal Engine game with the VR plugins in it (if it was built with them still in), a lot is broken with the experience. You then just need to launch the game and it adds back all of the engine’s native VR code and launches the game in VR. The VR Injector is added to a game by just dropping in a few files in the game directory. Praydog’s VR Injector changes this limitation for Flat2VR modders. ![]() Larger AAA games however, like Jedi Fallen Order are already completed and the developers have moved on and there’s no easy way to even build a new version of the game even if they wanted to with the VR code. For some of our Unreal Engine VR mods, we asked the game developers and they were kind to add the plugins in the shipping builds so that we could make a full VR mod for the game ( Mechwarrior 5 and Deep Rock Galactic with full motion controls are two examples of the developers doing this for us). Unreal Engine on the other hand, strips out all of the VR code if a game doesn’t build with the VR plugins still in it. The Unity engine for example, always ships with the VR code in a flat game and that code can be re-enabled and a modder can then start building out VR mechanics on top of that with powerful Unity modding frameworks. Usually changing or freezing these numbers lead to crash. Some of them affects shown amount of free slots in discord invite, some of them work with physics functions. Rough searching for number of current players sometimes gives out around 30 or more than 300 results. I tried to search for some functions in memory viewer that are responsible for playercount but there are many of them. If game doesnt have enough CPU power to run and react (or when game is frozen), those 2 players join at the same time and there is nothing that can kick them. If i have 1 slot open and there are 2 players trying to join at the same time, one of them kicks by game. If session is full, players cant join (obviously). This is how i think it works: When i have available slot, my game is shows in server list for others when they search. However i dont know exactly what to search and change (and how). I got curious if its possible to artificially make game think that i (as host) have less than 4 players or find function that can change max players or remove playercount check when someone joins and also show others in server list that my session is available to join even if i already have full team. There was a bug when more than 4 players could be in one session without game crashing, means that game can handle more. There are no dedicated servers so player acts as host. Game is built on Unreal Engine 4, coop multiplayer with 4 players in one session. Hello, trying to modify playercount but stuck due to lack of knowledge.
